Following weeks of cryptic clues, Bray Wyatt would return at WWE Extreme Rules
On WWE Smackdown, a nervous Bray Wyatt was interrupted by a new character
Bray Wyatt revealed he knew who they were & what they wanted
Another mystery person appeared saying Howdy, with a QR code lead to a Bray Psycological form.
This character would refer to himself as Uncle Howdy & called Bray Wyatt a liar for not wanting to wear a mask
On SmackDown, LA Knight would provoke Bray Wyatt leading to a headbutt & the start of a feud
An unconscious LA Knight would be found backstage twice having been attacked by a masked person
Bray Wyatt claimed it wasn’t him
Uncle Howdy would tell people to wake up, & show a telephone number, when called, a doctor can be heard discussing a disturbed patient.
LA Knight would be kidnapped by Uncle Howdy with footage shown on Smackdown
A freed LA Knight would brawl with Bray Wyatt with Uncle Howdy interrupting
Following another brawl, Uncle Howdy would again interrupt
Uncle Howdy, would attack Bray Wyatt , leaving LA Knight confused.
Later, a Pitch Black match would be announced for the 2023 Royal Rumble between Bray Wyatt & LA Knight
